Achieving successful mergers and acquisitions by working to bring cultures closer together.

The cultural dimension plays a primordial role during mergers and acquisitions: many of them have ended in failure due to dissensions between the two internal cultures involved. Numerous precedents show that seeking to create a uniform culture is largely ineffective. Better to build bridges between the two cultures from the outset, and thus bring them closer together.
