Although creativity is often regarded as a feature of personality, neuroscience research shows that it is in fact relatively easy to develop. This article develops four lessons that anyone should be able to put into practice: immerse yourself in situations by laying assumptions aside, move beyond established rules and “doctrines,” use analogies and create constraints.
