Résumé

The authors of this article studied the operating practices of twelve management teams in the high-tech industry, in order to identify the attributes of the most successful ones. They identied six factors that enable the best teams to discuss problems frankly and directly without falling into interpersonal confrontations: a strong data-driven culture, the willingness to consider several options, the clarity of shared objectives, the use of humor, relatively balanced decision-making authority, and the resolution of con?icts through consensus or reliance upon the most qualified experts.
