This book presents the World Café methodology, structured into seven key principles, each of which is covered in a separate chapter: set the context, create hospitable space, explore questions that matter, etc. A summary of the main practical points is given in chapter 10.
Although this book is certainly useful to understand the spirit and practices of a World Café seminar, it is sometimes tedious due to the unexpected juxtaposition of varied styles of messages, such as fundamental thinking, principles, practical tools, concrete examples, personal experiences, etc. We therefore advise readers to pick and choose the insets most relevant to their particular situation, and to complete this initial perusal by reading the methodological guide provided in the second half of chapter 10.
