Manageris opinion

One of the rare academic works specifically devoted to proactivity. Andrew DuBrin mobilizes a large body of research to explore its psychological and organizational underpinnings. He gives pride of place to the personality traits that promote proactivity, while analyzing the contextual conditions that facilitate or hinder its expression. The first chapters draw up a panorama of proactive behaviors in various registers: innovation, career management, anticipation of problems, etc.  The last focus on managerial levers: how to encourage these behaviors, recognize them and channel them effectively. A reference work whose insights remain wholly relevant.
