Many CEOs are disappointed with the way their management team operates. Why do senior executives tend to focus primarily on their own domain of responsibility? The authors show that precepts of traditional leadership largely explain the difficultes these teams encounter. Based on this analysis, they indicate an alternative approach, i.e. shared leadership, and offer many suggestions to help leadership teams successfully negotiate this difficult, but promising path.
