Manager les quinquas [Managing the Aging Boomers]

A university professor and the president of a temp agency specialized in change management put their heads together to write this book, which is particularly well documented and offers many enlightening examples. Following a brief overview of the situation in France, preconceptions about older employees are carefully examined (chapter 2), and a taxonomy of older workers is proposed to refine these perceptions (chapter 4). Several options for reconciling older workers with the working world are then studied. By looking at the problem from both sides—employees and employers—this book is able to propose a large number of original solutions, such as time sharing, subcontracting, working for local authorities, etc.
