In this book, Olivier Zara examines the challenges posed by the maximization of collective intelligence through the use of information technologies. Rather than focusing on theoretical principles, he examines concrete solutions that can be tested by businesses. Chapters 12 to 14 in particular are broken down into three parts – the desire to collaborate, the ability to collaborate and the power to collaborate – i.e., how to meet the challenge of collaboration among a diverse group of geographically dispersed players. Chapter 15 is devoted to instructive case studies on projects conducted by companies like Siemens Nixdorf, Altran and Crédit Agricole.
