Manageris opinion

This book on crisis management stands out first by its exhaustiveness. The author covers not only the different phases of a crisis and how to prepare for these phases, but also the attitudes to adopt once the storm hits.
Whereas many books are content to be simple manuals and show little originality, this one offers many new angles of thinking and practical suggestions that are not often found elsewhere. Chapter 3, for example, provides rules for evaluating the level of exposure of a company to the risk of a crisis. This chapter can be completed by reading what is written in chapter 2 on the factors that can aggravate this risk. Chapter 4 offers different methods for developing more or less creative crisis scenarios, as needed. Finally, the passages about the role of rumors in a crisis (chapter 6) and the normalization phenomenon that follows the return to normal (chapter 7) are also extremely beneficial to read.
