Our selection committee has worked for the past decade to build a collection of synopses offering top notch coverage of key management issues.

We therefore base our selection process on the following key principles:
Clear criteria

A publication must meet three criteria to be considered for our selection:

It must be founded upon robust research or consulting work.

It must contribute innovative ideas or a new take on a business issue.

It must offer practical thinking that can be leveraged to improve management
performance.

Systematic review

Every month, we scan about 100 books by European, Asian and North American authors, as well as recent publications from the best known strategy and management consulting firms, universities and research centers.

We short-list those that meet the criteria described above. The final cut from this short list is made collectively by our Selection Committee, constituted by experienced executives and independent consultants.

Academic input

We work with a network of professors from leading business schools, e.g. Harvard, INSEAD, London Business School.

Our academic partners contribute by:

Pointing out worthwhile new authors or publications "off the beaten track".

Writing expert advice on the selected publications or topics dealt with. These advice complement the synopses and highlight the strengths and potential limitations of the analyzed publications.

Coverage

We strive year round to cover every major business management arena. See for yourself our 2000 & 2001 book selection.
