The value of small ideas

What company has not at least once installed a suggestion box… only to see the flow of ideas dwindle to nothing in just a few months? Our selected publications warn of the pitfalls of traditional suggestion systems. The authors nonetheless emphasize the value of small ideas, not only to promote excellence and attain a sustainable competitive edge, but also to motivate employees. They offer suggestions on initiating the indispensable cultural change needed to ensure a continuing flow of ideas, and explain how to implement a system able to turn these ideas into real performance drivers.
